Ambury Farm

Last week the year 5 kids went to Ambury Farm for a school trip, it was fun but smelt a bit weird. The first thing in the morning was all the year 5 kids had to go to the hall for a prayer and a safe meeting. Once we had our prayer and our safe meeting we all hopped on the bus and took off . Once we got there everyone got off and hopped in a line.

Then we all sat on the benches and had a drink of water and a little snack. . When we finished our snack we had to put our bags in a metal kinda looking cupboard . Then we went into the barn for a game and a meeting . The game we played was like you had to put things in order then we just had a meeting about how to treat the animals.

Once that was all done we all had to get into groups. The first group went off to the shearing shed and the other group went to the milking shed . In the shearing shed you get to see a lady shear the sheep and she passes the wool around to everyone. In the milking shed you get to see another lady milk a cow then she said we were aloud to close up on the cow we also got to pat it.

when we all finished that we had lunch then we all played. . After lunch we all fed the animals. The first animal we fed was the sheeps, then the chickens, cows and goats. When we fed all the animals the lady said we could look at the rabbits. The rabbits were so cute they were so fuzzy.

After that we all gathered up got our bags and then and waited for the bus. While we were waiting for the bus we did a sing off against the boys and girls. And obviously the boys won.

Year 6 Camp

Next week the year 6 students are going to kawau island for their camp, the sports they will be doing is
Orientating , kayaking, volley ball , walking , swimming. I can't  wait to we go next year because it sound's like loads of fun. Oh yea and they get to stay in cabins and at night you can see wallabies  with their little joeys in their pouch.

Brooklyn Narrative Practice 2

Every picture tells a story.

2 years ago they're was a man named Bobby he was a farmer with his two brothers named Tom and

Harry  they loved farming together such as hanging out with them all day. One day when they were taking  out the weeds they're father Terry told them to grow some crops in garden. Once they were at the garden they started growing but 5 minutes later Bobby said to his two brothers “ hey have we ever been taught to do this job? then Tommy replied “no I don’t think so” so then Bobby and Tommy thought of it , 2 minutes later harry said “who cares we got told to do the job so just do it anyway” so the three brothers just carried on with their job.

4 hours later they were finally finished they were so tired and also really hungry so they went inside and had some dinner. The next day they did what they did every morning forgetting about the crops they did yesterday. 5 weeks later still doing they're jobs still forgetting about the crops they did 4 weeks ago finally they're  dad came out and asked if they had been checking on the crops. They all kept quiet then the dad said “ come on are you gonna answer me” Still no answer so the dad went to check in the garden when he looked at the crops his face looked terrified all he saw was a garden with brown corns  and yellow and brown droopy leaves hanging down. The brothers ran to the garden as fast as they could but the dad was already there. They're  dad was very very mad, “I told you’s to keep checking on it and never leave them for longer than 3 weeks growled the dad.

Since then dad had fired us from crop growing which we were actually glad about. A day after all that anger the three brothers apologised to they're father to say they're really sorry for ruining the crops. Then  they all gave their dad a hug.

On a hot scorching day Brooklyn , Bob , Sammy and Ariana decided to go  Dream World. Dream World had lot’s of awesome and fun rides. After 10 rides they started to feel very hungry after those  rides, so they went to the food truck and bought some food. After they had finished their food Sammy told them that he was going to the Extreme roller-coaster but Ariana said “no you can’t go on any rides until 20 minutes are over” then Sammy replied “but that's so long” “anyway why do we have to wait for 20 minutes” answered Bob “because we will get sick on the rides dah” Ohhhhhhhhh they all said.

As the sun drooped down very slowly Brooklyn looked at the time on her phone it had turned 2:30 “OMG it’s been an hour we can go now” said Brooklyn “we were supposed to go at 2:00 said Sammy, after 5 rides they took the chance to go on the Saw the ride they have dreamed about going on forever . when they got they're a very tall not really skinny  man said can I measure your height please, when he measured Sammy height Sammy was too short. Sammy started to feel very sad, then Ariana said “you guys go on i’ll stay here with Sammy”. Bob and Brooklyn looked at each other and then they said  “no we can’t leave you guys” so they ran out of the line and Brooklyn got her backpack “here Sammy drink this it’s magic grow powder promise me it’ll make you tall for the ride but it only lasts for 2 hours OK”

Sammy drank the magic grow powder 2 minutes later Sammy was as tall as Bob then they could all go on the ride whew  . after 2 more rides they decided to go on the Saw 1 more time but yes the magic grow powder had worn off.

               (oh and they all lived happily ever after but not for Sammy)

Farming fish retold by Brooklyn

1.Richard lives in a village called Togori on the island of Makira in the solomon islands. Did you know fish is really important to them. They do not buy thing’s very often they usually grow or catch.

2.  He has an uncle named Isaiah and is also the chief of they're village. He also taught the other people in the village how eat fish when the weather is to bad to go out to sea. His uncle Isaiah found some useful information from a magazine about farming fish so uncle Isaiah decided to make some plastic pipes so that the water would keep fresh and clean.

3. The pool’s that uncle Isaiah made took 1 and a half years to dig out. Most of their days they spend they're mornings and evening’s on the pools. When the pools a finished they have to be joined up to the river with pipes.

4. In the story Richard says his best  job is catching fish, He uses a traditional rod. Richard glad that he had helped his uncle’s plan succeed so well.

Mrs goat and her seven kids my version

6 years ago there lived a mother sheep called jenny who had seven little lambs. One day she told her little lambs she was going out to the supermarket, so she said to her little lambs Do not open the door! because you do not want to be gobbled up by the big bad wolf do you, the lambs replied No Way! A couple of minutes went by and mother sheep had gone to the supermarket. When mother sheep came out the door out hiding in the backyard was the big bad wolf. When he saw Jenny enter her car he knocked on the door and said “ Let me in Let me in” “who are you” said the little lambs, I am your mother I forgot to give you you’re pocket money said the wolf, the little lambs replied “you're not our mother she sounds like this Baaaa your not our mother you're the big bad wolf said the lambs.

So the wolf went to the sheep master and said “will you teach me how to speak in sheep language or i will gobble you up” so the sheep master said  ok ok. So an hour went by and the wolf quickly ran to jenny’s house and knocked on the door and said let me in let me in it’s you’re mother I have some treats for you  said the wolf. The lambs said show us you’re tail ,so the wolf showed them his tail,you a not our mother her tail is as thin like wheat this tail is grey and fluffy you’re the big bad wolf said the seven lambs. So the wolf went to the hospital and asked the doctor “can you change my tail if you don't I will eat you’re nose so the doctor said ok ok 30 minutes later the wolf ran as fast as he can to the little lambs house but when he was running he got ran over he had ran so fast he wasn't looking we he was.
