Usain Bolt - Narrative
Hello my name is Usain Bolt my full name is Usain St Leo Bolt, I was born in a small town called Sherwood Content in Jamaica. If you didn’t already know I am titled the fastest human ever timed, I am also the first man to hold 2 world records which were for the 100 metre sprints and 200 metre sprints. This year I am going to be competing in the 2016 Rio olympic games, This will be my 4th time competing in the games, I first started competing in 2004 which was 12 years ago.
“It was the day of finals and I was feeling very nervous to compete against some very powerful sprinters” Bolt said.
The sprinters lineup nervously as they prepare for the finals which was the 400 metre sprints. Legs and arms shiver as they hear the race starter yell out “On your marks”! The stadium went quiet and off went a sound Bang! A loud shooting sound comes from the race starter's pistol. A speed of light dashes across the tracks as the different coloured countries sprint towards the finish line.
Sweat runs down their face as their arms push through the air, the crowd cheered as every country went past, their legs strained as they ran through their lanes. It was about 300 metres into the race and Usain Bolt (aka the fastest human ever timed) speeds right in front of the race and was now in lead, it was now impossible to beat him as he had already ran half of the 100 metres left. The finish line was a bright white painted square but you did not finish the race until you have passed the yellow line on the white square.
The crowd screamed and cheered as Usain Bolt crossed the yellow line, he reached for his water bottle and squirted it on his face. Along came all the other sprinters, they were all so proud of themselves for being able to finish the race.
It was now time for the medals,in the middle of the stadium there were three steps which had numbers 1, 2 and 3 on them. The winners took their place and collected their medals.

Brooklyn Show Not Tell
As we entered the large dark building disco lights beamed and music blasted. We walked excitedly over to the stairs as the soles of our purple and green socks grip onto the cold concrete floor. At the top of the stairs people were jumping all over the place, the floor and walls were made out of trampolines. The foam pit was covered in hundreds of foam cubes.
The dodge ball area was packed with people ready to battle against each other, the balls were lined up in the middle, everyone lined up against the wall on each side, when everyone was ready a loud squeaking sound blew right out of the workers whistle. We all sprinted over to the middle trying to collect as much dodge balls as we could. Then we fired our weapons at the other team, as the lights beamed across the room the game started to get a lot harder.

Immersion Assembly Term 2 ( As I see it )
Yesterday morning was the start of term 2 at Pt England school, This term our topic is called “as i see it”. For every start of the term or year Pt England school has a special assembly we like to call an Immersion Assembly, this is when all of the teachers from every team dress up into costumes and show us a movie about what they are focusing on for the term.
The first team to go up on the stage and present their movie to us was Team 1, Team 1 are focusing on what their favorite things are, then they are going to turn them into art. The second team was Team 2 they were focusing on the seasons and are going to look at the different colors that are in these seasons. Team 3 is focused on Grand designs and Architecture. Team 4 are focusing on comics, and are looking at the different types of styles used in the comics, they are going to read lots of comics and maybe even create one of their own ones. The last team on the stage was my team Team 5 we are going to be focusing on the waka and what they represent and symbolize.
My favorite movie was from team 4 because I liked the way the made everyone laugh and the way acted, in the movie the characters names were Bear Baxendine, Bat Guy, Team Leader America, Wondering Women & Amateur Heros. I think that this one was the best because they had great humor and were good at making people laugh.
This term I am hoping to learn lots about the waka and the history behind it.

Fia Fia
Every 2 years Pt England school celebrates our annual Fia Fia night. Fia Fia is when all of the students get to perform a dance or some type of cultural dance on stage. Some performances we have a usually cultural ones like Tongan, Samoan, Asian, Cook Islands and Bollywood.
This year we are having our annual Fia Fia this Thursday, we have all been working hard on our performances and today we are having our very first Fia Fia rehearsal for 2016 straight after morning tea.
This Year I am in the senior hip hop group, my group is a mixed year 7 & 8 group with both boys and girls. I am proud of my group because when they started we were all shy and our dance was a mess , but throughout the weeks we have all gained confidence and our dance is looking way better than it did in the beginning. Our group has been practicing in the staff room every day after lunch.
The thing I am looking forward to this year is probably watching all of the different performances and supporting my friends in their groups.

Identity
Today my home class and I talked about Identity and what it's like to know your identity and what it's like to not know your identity. On this image you can see that our teacher has traced and outline of one of our students and then filled it up with words we shared with the class about the feelings some people will feel when knowing your identity and not knowing your identity. On the left hand side you can see that the words are written with a black whiteboard marker, this side is what people would feel when the know their identity. On the right hand side the letters are written in purple, this is what it might feel like to not know your identity

I have enjoyed my easter holiday this year spending time with family and eating lots of chocolate easter eggs. My highlight from easter was probably spending time with my family and eating chocolate eggs with them.
